Let’s GO

Their dreams.

Your support.

My expertise.

Together we can engineer the perfect launch.

Parenting isn’t for sissies.

Neither is choosing a future for yourself.

Maybe your young adult gets that deer-in-the-headlights stare whenever you ask him what
he wants to do with his life. Maybe she’s driven with a strong sense of purpose and big
goals you have no idea how to help her reach.

Teens need guidance, but heck — so do moms and dads! And we all face a double-edged
problem: too much information at our fingertips and no way to discern what’s helpful and
what’s not. How do you even begin to sort through the myriad of options for college,
career, and beyond and launch your teen into the future they dream of?

If you’ve ever wished you had your own personal guidance counselor to help you navigate
this uncharted territory, I've got good news.

Let’s tackle that whole

“what’s next” thing together.

Your teen's launch is your teen's launch. Whether your young adult is planning for an advanced degree
or thinking about trade school and apprenticeships, you need individually tailored, targeted direction.

As your personal guidance counselor, I take into account your family's values and priorities, your
unique circumstances, and your teen's own inner sense of direction — it's in there, I promise! — to
tailor a plan to help you navigate this journey with clarity, confidence, and purpose.

Homeschool Families

Homeschooling parents face a unique set
of challenges when it comes to launching
their teens. From curriculum selection to
record-keeping, I can help you learn how
to gracefully switch between your parent
and counselor roles without second-
guessing yourself.

Traditional School Families

The recommended ratio of school guidance
counselors to students is 250 to 1 — and in
most schools it's far higher. There's just no
time to give your teen the attention they
deserve. Let me help fill that gap and help
you work inside and outside the system to
get what your teen needs.

Hi, I’m Whitney.

It’s nice to meet you.

As a mom, I was chief cook and bottle-washer, which was
hard. But as a homeschooling mom, I was also a guidance
counselor, which was a million times harder. During the 10
years I spent steering my oldest along the path to college and
career — with a full ride, no less! — I conducted hundreds of
hours of research.

And somewhere along the line, people started to ask me for
advice. It seemed that in my quest to give my kids my best, I’d
unwittingly gained a reputation as something of an expert on
how to launch your teen.

I'm still in the thick of homeschooling, parenting, and guidance
counselor-ing. Like you, I have moments of doubt about
helping my teens find their way in the world. But I've also been
around long enough to have learned a few things about how all
of this works. It’s been my joy to help other families cut
through the noise and work together to engineer the perfect
launch. I hope I’ll have the chance to help yours too!

Personalized

guidance

equals...

Being incredibly busy with my career, and research being the very least of my interests or
strengths, I felt completely overwhelmed with the idea of helping my daughter navigate a
college path. My mom suggested that I reach out to Whitney, and I cannot begin to explain
the relief I feel working with her, and knowing that my daughter is on the correct path. I
don’t know how she does it, but Whitney just knows things!

Our first session together, Whitney provided my daughter a binder with items to keep
them on track. Each session has brought to light things I have never even thought about.
Whitney not only answers any and all questions, but she is so well organized and detailed,
and she has created a customized, personal approach to our time together. She has an
agenda for each session that is personalized to where my daughter is on her path.

Whitney even helps find options for potential colleges or universities that “fit” for my
daughter, and I can only imagine how helpful she will be when it is time to apply to schools,
and this momma is lost. Every single session we have had with Whitney has been so
organized, helpful, and a huge relief! She has allowed me to take a deep breath, and my
daughter has thoroughly enjoyed the sessions, as well. Could not recommend her enough!

...a big sigh
of relief.
